4 Healthy Habits To Bring Into 2024

A new year brings a fresh start, and now is the perfect time to reflect on our health and well-being and set some intentions for establishing healthy habits in 2024!

When you’re thinking about healthy habits, I want you to remember that achieving sustainable wellness isn't about drastic changes like restrictive diets or over-the-top workouts. It's about making small, positive changes to our daily routines that we can maintain over the long term. Focus on habits that feel attainable to you, not ones that will become a burden (those are the ones that are most likely to fall off the routine!)

The habits I’m talking about here are designed to enhance your life, not restrict it, and help you build a foundation for sustainable wellness. 1. Prioritize Mindful Movement

Making movement a habit is crucial for your wellbeing, but not in the way you might think! I don’t mean super advanced or high-intensity workouts (unless that’s what you love to do - in which case, keep it up!) This year, let's focus on mindful movement – activities that benefit our bodies AND our minds. It could be a daily walk in the park, a yoga session, or even slow and gentle stretching. 

The key is to choose activities you genuinely enjoy and look forward to, not ones that feel like another chore on your to-do list or that will bring you shame if you miss a session. Mindful movement helps reduce stress, which will reduce inflammation inside your body and lead to greater overall wellbeing. It also improves our mood and naturally boosts our energy levels, so it’s a win-win!

2. Hydrate with Purpose

Everyone always talks about the importance of hydration, but in 2024, let's take it a step further by hydrating with purpose. Try adding more colorful fruits and vegetables, leafy greens, healthy fats, and lean proteins to your meals whenever possible.
